Since, apparently, all I do is blog, I started up a tutorial website for my students in the Intro to the History of Western Art. Maybe you will read it and learn something about art history?!
P.S. The photo above is an illustration from Boccacio's De claris mulieribus (or On Famous Women), an encyclopedia of sorts on the biographies of notable women. It was written in 1361-1362, but this illustration is from 1541. This scene is from the chapter on Circe. And now you know.
