New Year's Resolution Reading List

Or maybe I just felt like dropping $100 at the bookstore? Here's some books/mags I got today to aid me in my quest to be a better Karen.
1. In Defense of Food and The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan, because I don't want to eat gross food anymore (except for hot Genoa salami. I can't quit you, hot salami). Cheers to Morgan and Doug for the recommendations and enlightening conversation about being vegan. I am not vegan, but will take some of your suggestions.
2. A Short Guide to Writing About Art by Sylvan Barnet, because despite writing about art all the time, I don't actually know how. It's about time I learned.
3. A Judith Butler reader. I don't really want to read Judith Butler, I just want someone else to explain Judith Butler to me with all the major points highlighted. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I think I'm officially a feminist now.
4. Canadian Art magazine. I know very little about contemporary Canadian art, which I've tried to conceal for a while but now concede. Fine, teach me all about the art, Canadian Art.
5. Paper and Wired. Mostly recreational reading, but they inform me of what really matters: Chloƫ Sevigny's cool new outfit and cars that run on cranberry juice!
...and a mug of Sweet Wild Orange Tazo tea to go with it. Mmmm.
