LiLo Monroe

So if you're the type of person who has been waiting around for years for Lindsay Lohan to get naked on camera, you might already know that Lindsay Lohan got naked on camera. LiLo and photographer Bert Stern recently shot a recreation of Marilyn Monroe's "Last Sitting" for this week's issue of New York magazine.

Maybe if you're the type of person who has been waiting around for years for Lindsay Lohan to get naked, you'd be pretty psyched about these photographs. But with the exception of having some pretty okay boobs, Lohan looks rather unappealing for most of the reel. Her body is awkwardly-posed and her facial expressions are tired and vacant. She possesses none of the the poise that made Monroe famous.

And that, people, is the difference between legend and notoriety. LiLo needs another Mean Girls before I can take her seriously naked.

Wow, tired and vacant is right. :(
I also think that without some big, sexy hips, you're just not going to get the same silhouette or S-curve that Monroe had. That, and the hand-tinting just feels less harmonious than the digital tinting. I think I'll take one Marilyn to go, please.

This is so weird. Why would that photographer agree to do that? And isn't there something futile in painstakingly recreating photos that were notable for their candour and spontaneity? And considering what happened to Monroe shortly afterwards, isn't drug-addled Lohan kinda tempting fate? I hate that she's always trying to be a blonde or a brunette instead of a ginger; that's why her skin always looks so gross, it clashes with her hair-colour-du-jour.

And yeah, swinging, pendulous bosoms matched with prison camp-hips is confusing to look at.

I know she looks pretty skeezy, and she's in not in any fathomable way comparable to Marilyn Monroe, but tell me you still wouldn't hit that. You can't. Cause you still would.

I think that they should have left this sitting alone and chose another one if Lohan wanted to recreate Marilyn. Monroe is so alive and always looks like there's more to her than just taking a photo. Lohan looks dead to me...look at her eyes and mouth then look at Marilyn's...no comparison to the expressiveness of Monroe.
