Rules for doing your own online PR
Let's just say you have a product or a thing you do that you'd like to promote online. Let's just say that some attractive young blogger takes an interest in what you're doing and wants to write about it. Lucky you!
So you provide a link to your online portfolio where you provide hi- and low-res images for media use.
Your low-res images: 450px and 18kb
Your hi-res images: 1800px and 12.7mb. Oh, and you can only download them in a 22mb zip package.
Your hi-res portrait: a 40.4mb zip file which has obviously been taken by your friend Steve. And it sucks.
Throw the blogger a goddamn bone. It takes long enough to write articles about your product or thing you do already. Having to spend an extra 45 minutes trying to figure out how to make do with your shitty images that are either too small to use or a pain in the ass to download does not make the blogger want to speak favorably about you.
Just putting it out there.
