Bread = Success

Tada! Meet a perfect loaf of whole wheat, baked in my new bread maker. I like those organic whole grain loaves that cost $5 and almost always expire the day after you buy them. Well, no more organic bread scams for me!
My first loaf was a disaster. I used very high quality whole wheat flour from Bob's Red Mill and its density totally screwed up the measurements, making the whole thing too dry to rise and hard as a rock. For my subsequent loaves, I used the low-grade whole wheat flour from No Frills that I crapped all over back in this post, and it worked like a charm. So yeah, I take back what I said about you, crappy No Frills flour.
The loaf you're looking at in the photo is enriched with flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds. Next time, I'm going to experiment with barley flour, and maybe in a few weeks, spelt. My bread maker even makes jam and chutney! Chutney!
