Free Download Alert: Sigur Rós' "Gobbledigook"

I'd like to start off by saying that Sigur Rós is one of the best bands ever. Their show at Massey Hall was the only concert I've ever gone to by myself, and it was hands down the most incredible live performance I've been witness to. In fact, I think seeing them alone is almost preferable, because then you don't have to turn to the person beside you after every song and say, "Shit, that was soooo good." Of course it's good. It's ethereal Icelandic orchestral pop. Stop talking.

Then again, if you're not into that kind of thing, you're not into that kind of thing. However, "Gobbledigook" is the closest thing to a radio single that Sigur Rós has ever recorded, and it's pretty catchy, so you might like it. The band is offering a free download here on their website to hype the release of their new album, Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum (With a Buzz in Our Ears We Play Endlessly), on June 23.

Also, if you're into naked camping trips (and I emphasize trips), check out the "Gobbledigook" music video. After taking several screencaps from the video for this post, I couldn't bring myself to scrap the leftovers—there really is nothing like a naked man on a swing. See for yourself behind the cut.
