Pants Are So Awesome

Dear Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,
When you first came out in 2005, I was 22 and considered myself way too old for teen movies. Too old and "too cool". Oh, how wrong I was...
I heard from a couple female friends shortly after your DVD release that you were a really good movie, but I did not listen.
Finally, I saw you one night in Barrie on my parents' satellite and MAN, did I ever cry. That scene where Carmen (America Ferrara) confronts her father over the phone? I cried harder during that scene than Pete cried when he saw The Notebook*.
Anyway, SotTP, what I'm getting at here is that you are an effing fantastic movie. I just re-watched you on YTV and you made me cry just as hard this time and feel just as re-affirmed about life.
And what timing! Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is coming out in a few days, and I'm ready to pick up where we left off. The trailer looks totally awesome! I was pleasantly surprised to see Tibby looking hot and dating that superfine Asian guy from the first film, Lena looking like a deer-in-headlights as usual, Bridget doing cool stuff like going on an archaeological dig in Turkey, and America Ferrara doing whatever the hell she wants to do with her character because she's amazing.
Will I go see you in theatres? Considering that I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet even though it has been hailed as "the best movie ever, ever", probably not.
But I am bumping you up from "will catch on satellite sometime, maybe" to "will rent in first 2 weeks on DVD".
See you in October,
Karen
P.S. If you ever find room for one more in that pair of pants, you know where to find me.
*Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Okay, everyone cried during The Notebook.
