Caturday, November 29, 2008

Ahhh, yes. ‘Tis a lovely Caturday!
Charlie spends most of his time in his armchair sleeping, so I’ve been having difficulty getting variety in settings and actions. Solution? Agitate the cat by flicking scarves and string around his head. Works every time!

The Strength and Superiority of Punjab

Wikipedia’s article on Punjabi culture wins the award for being the most silly and biased article I have ever read on Wikipedia.
For instance, did you know:
People of different languages, cultures, customs and races came to Punjab for good life and it was the strength and superiority of Punjabi culture and language that these all immigrants [...]

The Case of the Exploding Glass Desk

The other day, Pete’s glass desk spontaneously exploded! Apparently, tempered glass does that sometimes. You can see more photos here.

Strike Payday

What in the fresh heck was the point of this, York? Clearly I realize that being on strike right now means that I don’t get my TA/GA pay, but you don’t have to rub it in my face by sending me a paycheque for “No and 00/100 Dollars.”*
*Yes, I realize that the accounting department probably [...]

Things I will miss about Montreal: Beer!

You can really gauge the value of a place by their default beer choice. And when Molson Export is your default beer choice, you rank pretty high on the Whaley Beer-Choice Index because Export is not that bad. At least it tastes like beer, unlike some other beers that are favoured by Torontonians. Additionally, how [...]

Things I will miss about Montreal: Van Houtte

How do these coffee shops not exist in Toronto???
Van Houtte kind of looks like Lettieri and has numerous locations like Starbucks, but has better food and coffee than both. I had their smoked salmon panini and their breakfast panini, and both were delicious. Best of all, you can get drip coffee in barrel-sized mugs like [...]

Things I will miss about Montreal: Mount Royal Park

Mount Royal Park is super cool! It was about -7 degrees out when we were there, so it was literally super cool, or cold. My legs nearly froze solid that day. Also, check out my furry hat. That hat saved my life.
The best part of our hike up the mountain was meeting a friendly grey [...]

Boots Update: 5 Stars!

Yaaaay, I got those boots that I ordered on the internet and they fit wonderfully and they are so comfy and they have arch support and are everything I wanted from a boot and more! Also, I started looking around for them everywhere after I ordered them and they cannot be found in malls nor [...]

Caturday, November 22, 2008

Hey everyone, Caturday festivities are postponed for today as I am in Montreal for the Grey Cup! In the meantime, hobo cat is living out of a box. Or at Ken’s apartment.
Thanks Ken!

Japan concerned about sabupuraimu mortgages in 2008

I don’t get Japanese culture.
It’s not like I have anything against Japanese culture, but I literally just don’t get it. Gothic lolita cosplay, sugary pop music, used panties in vending machines, a propensity for large cartoon mascots, Real Dolls, weird gameshows, flashing lights……it’s all very confusing to a westerner. Of course, we’re mostly just [...]
