B.B. King is Live in Cook County Jail

Everyone should own this album.
Either you already own it, and you’re like, “Well, obviously Karen. That’s an essential recording in the history of American music. That’s like, saying, ‘Hey, I read this awesome book I think you’d like. It’s called The Great Gatsby. You should check it out.’” Well, I am not talking to you, I am talking to everyone else.
Everyone should own this album. It’s B.B. King playing to 2,000 completely rapt prisoners at Cook County prison in the summer of 1971. Heck, it’s practically worth it to hear the inmates boo the warden in the intro. Also, it’s the best recording of “How Blue Can You Get” ever. Nobody would ever regret purchasing this album. What are you waiting for?
