Boots I bought that I love

A two-pronger!
Prong 1: Did you know that Mindy Kaling (aka. Kelly Kapoor from The Office) has a blog? It’s called things i bought that i love. Basically it’s Kaling writing as a watered-down Kapoor (ie. herself) about things she bought that she loves and it’s A-mazing!
Prong 2: Today I bought these fantastic Salomon Apres-Ski Bliss [...]

Caturday, November 15, 2008

Good morning, I hope this rainy Caturday is treating you well.
This week, you get to see Charlie doing a few of his favourite things: eating olives, drinking water out of glasses, being fuzzy, and getting all up in other people’s business. Enjoy!

The Westbury Union Photo Album

My Dad works in sales, he boats in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter, he likes to watch CSI and hockey in the evenings. You know, all pretty normal Canadian dad stuff. But in the late 1960’s, my Dad was a rocker!!! He’s the cool guy in the Adidas sneakers on the far right [...]

Thank you, internet!

Guys. BrodyJenner.com exists. Hollywood’s favourite bro about town is now blogging about life, dating, and Bromance.
Since reading BrodyJenner.com, I have discovered that Brody Jenner’s girlfriend is not only a Playboy Playmate of the Year, but she’s from Port Perry, Ontario. That’s like, practically Whitby.

Stop that, OpenOffice!!

This is what autocomplete does every time I type the word “the.” It’s so distracting! But hilarious!

Obviously, it reminds me of this (”I’ll take The Rapists for $800, Alex” “That’s THERAPISTS”), and then I can’t get any work done.
And then I have blog about it, and I REALLY can’t get any work done.

The Deseronto Ponies Girls’ Softball Team, c.1928-1930

I have been doing some genealogy work recently, trying to piece together a family tree on Ancestry.com. It seems that several branches of the family on my mother’s side emigrated from Ireland to the township of Tyendinaga in the Quinte area sometime after 1820 when part of the Six Nations reserve was opened for white [...]

Pumpkin Cookies

I was looking for a way to use up the rest of the pumpkin puree from making pumpkin muffins, so I looked up “pumpkin cookie recipe.”
Nearly every pumpkin cookie recipe on the internet is this one, and I can understand why. THESE COOKIES ARE THE MOST DELICIOUS THING EVER. Why would you need another recipe? [...]

Don’t you just love Caturdays? Curling up in a nice big armchair with a cuppa coffee and the newspaper?Who doesn’t?
Today is sort of a two-for-one deal on cats because my downstairs neighbour’s cat Sophie, who visits us from time to time, seems to like the camera as well. There is also some Pete in there. [...]
