Caturday, December 27

I’m finally back at home after over a week of traveling to various family Christmas events, just in time for Caturday!
Just one photo today; Charlie was at home while I was in Windsor so I haven’t been taking many pictures of him recently. But I think the cuteness of this photo makes up for it.
It [...]

A wholehearted gush for Janelle Monáe

Gah! How do I even begin to recommend alternative afro-punk diva Janelle Monáe? Perhaps I should just leave it to P. Diddy, who signed her to Bad Boy Records a year ago:
Janelle Monáe is one of the most important signings of my career. There is no doubt in my mind that Janelle is the kind [...]

Fun Times at the Tree Farm

I am in Windsor for Pete’s family Christmas. He has about one million younger brothers and sisters so it is a real old fashioned Family Christmas with Santa, toys and snow. Fun stuff!
Yesterday, we went to a farm to slaughter a tree and it was all snowy and beautiful. Photos of the excursion behind the [...]

Caturday, December 20

The best thing about a big snowfall definitely has to be throwing the cat out onto the deck. He’s always like, “Whaaaaaaaaat is all this white stuff? Why is it making my paws cold? How come I can’t stand on top of it?”

Snowmageddon in Barrie

I’m not sure that the amount of snow is anything special, particularly for Barrie, but the snow is traveling horizontally.
Not too many posts this week, my apologies. It’s final assignment time.

Juno Sucked, the Reckoning

I wrote a post about how much I hated Juno and Garden State a while back. I got a passionate response from “Laura” that I thought I’d share:
Ew, you people make me sick.
I dislike very much naive people who think that what are saying can be passed off as intelligent. And somehow by not liking [...]

Caturday, December 13

What? That’s the longest cat tongue I’ve ever seen! Invisible…Gene Simmons costume?
He licked a piece of lint on the floor and it stuck to his tongue and he couldn’t get it off, so he started flailing his tongue around. Pretty delightful.
I was actually trying to document how, in these dark winter months, only in the [...]

Pete is good at what he does

I usually only publicly discuss Pete’s awesomeness in terms of how it directly affects me, eg. “Pete’s the best; he made me soup!” or “Pete is really good at helping me decide what to wear when we go out.” But I think it’s due time that I officially recognized some of Pete’s recent professional achievements [...]
