Jenn Grant’s Echoes: well worth a spin
Did you know that the iTunes Canada Single of the Week is a pretty great place to pick up good and free music?

This week’s free single is “Parachutes” by Haligonian Jenn Grant (originally from PEI), which I downloaded, loved, and then downloaded her whole album, Echoes.
Man, Canada’s chanteuses just can’t be beat. Echoes reaches O, My Darling by Basia Bulat territory of awesomeness. Which is great because I’ve played that album so many times that, last week, Courtney asked me, “Aren’t you sick of Basia Bulat yet?” Just a little, but not really, Court.
I was also excited to see that Echoes was put out by Six Shooter Records, where my bizarro-world sister (the hip, music-loving one) Caitlin is a bigwig. I just googled her to see if I could link anything to her name, and look! She was a “My Style” feature in NOW. So I guess she’s the fashionable one too!
