say it with pie

So this weekend I was hanging out with a baby, which doesn’t happen very often. I discovered that babies are like cats, except sort of more ridiculous and entertaining.

This baby, Alexander, was given a bunch of large colourful plastic toys to play with and was acting very blasé until I decided to show him my Macbook and he went NUTS! Somehow he seemed to understand that keyboards are for smashing your fingers on and managed to compose a short story titled, “QQQQQQQQQ 111 9ttt” before figuring out how to turn on the computer’s speech command application and converting US$BBB[[B55 to Canadian currency (worth CAN$8.34).

Fearing for my lappy’s life, I managed to distract Alex with an even newer, funner toy: my Blackberry. He found it to be quite delicious and sunk all five of his teeth into the fleshy plastic of the protective case.

The one member of my gadget entourage I did not allow him to gnaw was my Nikon D60. Pete was handling it and managed to snap a few pictures, all located behind the cut!
