Making Faces

Things with faces:

1. You, probably.

2. Me, definitely.

3. The video for “Two Weeks” off the new Grizzly Bear album Veckatimest (above). Holy crap, this album is incredible; you need to get it. The facial movements in the video are mesmerizing.

4. My research. Just finishing up my final paper for my class on theories of affect. One of the things we talked about is nonrepresentational codes being transmitted via facial expressions, which I think is illustrated wonderfully by the video for “Two Weeks”.

5. This monster child.

6. A hilarious animated gif of Simon Cowell watching Susan Boyle:

6. Your mom. Burn!

Oh Karen, I’ll never be cool. I cannot find one thing to like about this song, or any of their songs. Teach me?

FYI – if my child looks like that demon girl, I’m leaving it on your porch.
