Dragonette – Fixin’ to Thrill

Every child wishes they had a cool drunken aunt like Martina Sorbara.

Dragonette’s latest album Fixin’ to Thrill dropped last week and it is hella good. If you like slick electro/synth pop artists like Robyn, Ladyhawke and Lady Gaga, you will like this. Recommended for: putting make-up on, underwear dance parties, folding laundry, making oatmeal cookies.

That song was just okay. Martina Sorbara frightens me in a way that I can’t quite figure out.

Oh, also: I think “Fixin’ to Thrill” is probably one of the weaker songs on the album, but it’s the only song they had a video for, and the video was hilarious.
